Google's reply to Oracle's Java lawsuit is a reply worth reading if you have the time...seems like the guys from Google have decided to go for the neck... If this will get to a verdict (and not a settlement), this might mean to Oracle the end of control over Java and the end of license payments for Java technology.
This is just another event, in the maneuvers taking place in the unfolding Java War.
Apache's battle regarding the FoU (Field of Use) restriction of Java7 is another front Oracle has to manage, and one has to wonder whether Larry Ellison hasn't perhaps taken too big a bite here, with this brave attempt of leveraging Java...
[update, 8/5/2012: Although some claim that Oracle has won a first victory in the ongoing trial, I belong to those who believe that this unfolding saga is going Google's way. ]
